It all began with coleslaw. Mike's very first job was mixing up huge vats of cabbage, vinegar and mayo at Jaffe's Deli in Boston. Mr. Jaffe, a true connoisseur, had high standards and imparted on Mike that there's an art to everything in life. Even coleslaw. Mike applied this humble life lesson to his diverse resume of mechanic, garbage collector and beer delivery man. On a new path after college, Mike became a therapist in a lock-down psych unit responsible for more than 75 psychotic patients. Mike also worked with pre-mature infants in a Neonatal ICU.
Finding his true calling, Mike became an art director in advertising creating humorous campaigns for Popeye's Fried Chicken, ESPN and Staples and most recently writing and directing a multi media campaign for the legendary Boston brand, Finagle Bagels.
Mike's creative drive spans advertising, art and writing as can be seen in his portraiture installations and his sitcom pilot. Inspired by his work at the psych ward Mike wrote and directed a pilot for the Turner Network called, interestingly enough, Psych Ward.
In his free time Mike plays some guitar on his Tele, perfects his long range jumper at Carmine Street gym and to this day maintains his love for good cole slaw.
